The adventure continues

Well, two days ago while watching the kids during the women’s conference; I was taking a little girl to the restroom. We had to walk to a nearby restaurant in the dark. I didn’t have a translator with me, the little girl was talking fast and furious and holding on tight. Evidently, she was warning me. I stepped into the sewer, luckily I could pick her up and take her across safely. Then yesterday, I was chased down and almost pulled out of the van by a sweet women and kissed, kissed, hugged, and almost pulled out of the van.

The biggest adventure, though is sharing the gospel with these wonderful, happy people. No matter what condition they are living in, they are so grateful. They are constantly telling us how blessed they are for what they have in their lives. I have learned so much from them. I need to be more grateful for what I have in my life and love others like Christ loves us.

Today, we visited another church to feed the children. Again, the kids were so happy just to play simple games and receive candy and a small McDonald toy. Pray for me tomorrow as I give my testimony, as many of you know; I am not a speaker. But this mission trip has taught me to get out of my comfort zone. I thought I could never go door to door either, but with God’s grace I was able to do just that.

Continue to pray for our team tomorrow as we have three church services to attend, and for a safe trip home.

In Christ

PS. LOVE YOU JOE, JOEY AND CASSIDY. Ps cassidy and Joe your have two days, I am heading home.

A monkey tried to eat my hair!

We went into the countryside today. Quite a bit different then the city. The people were still quite gracious and loving. We shared Jesus with several families today. The children are so sweet and well behaved, it is truly a community where people just go in and out of each other houses. Most of the people we talked to listen and wanted to know more, so with grace of God we did plants some seeds.

Back to the monkey, story one family had a pet monkey; so me being me, I asked if he would bite. They said no, but they did not tell me that the monkey liked to eat curly headed people!!! I am sure pictures will be posted.

Also, can anyone post and tell me how Tammy Hale is doing, she hurt her ankle before I left and I have not heard anything.
In His service,
Susie

A heart opening day

Today left me in no doubt that the Lord is always with me. Last night I was fretting on how to present the Gospel and worring about the language barrier, but I finally put it in the Lord’s hands. Wow, what a blessing it was to share the good news with the people I met. I also had the pleasure of listening to Wesley presnt the Gospel in a gentle kind way. The people we met were kind, humble and gracious and willing to learn. One woman was so thankful for her home. Her home consisted of dirt floor that still had big rock, not flat at all. She had to cook outside, the bed was just a mattress against a wall that she put down at night. But all she could say is how blessed she was to have a house. This woman truly puts her daily life in the hands of God. Only, if we could all take this lesson and be thankful everyday for the blessings we have in our daily life.

PS. love you, Joe, Joey and Cassidy.

Yeah, I am already in the dog house. Rich actually put me in a real dog house and poor Ida is in their with me, because she is in charge of keeping me in line!!! Actually, it is in bedroom attached to the house, that the dogs sleep when it is not being used as a guest room. Please pray for us today as we do our first VBS and visit a hospital. Please pray that we reach people and touch people with new good news. Also, pray for Ida as she has to keep on watch on me,

In his service, Susie Grom.
