Where to begin. Today we had about 4 inches of snow, beautiful and white. Schools were all cancelled so I am not sure how my son will get all of his homework he’s going to need while we are gone, but if I had thought that this was the biggest problem we would be in the clear. But I am behind in my sermon preparation and trying to get packed and deal with all of the details is overwhelming and to top it off my back has been throbbing all day long. I read about Ida’s vehicle issues yesterday and then the worst happened. Tonight, I received a call from Joey’s mom telling me that he had been in a four wheeler accident. Evidently he has 2 broken ribs and 4 broken vertebrae. He also has some bleeding behind his spine. The doctor said he is lucky to be alive. It is not luck it is God. God has a plan, what it is right now, I am not sure. Joey was our music person for the Honduras Trip and was going to lead a youth rally. He will be greatly missed this week, but I pray that God will reveal his will to us. I am confident that through this tragedy God will be glorified. I am also excited that with as much as has gone wrong this month in order to discourage us that Satan is afraid of the impact that we will have this week. We will triumph in the name of Jesus! Get though behind us Satan!

Worried and Weary but not Swayed
I am worried because for the last 3 weeks my back has seemed to get worse. I am weary because I know I will not be able to do all that I want to do. However, I am not swayed from going and serving and I am confident that God will overcome the pain and allow the mission to succeed. So far everything is on track. We are starting to see some snow, but it should be cleared from the runways by the time we are leaving Saturday. Please pray for me that this pain will go away or that I will be strong enough to bare it. Pray for the rest of the team that they may experience a life-changing event this week and will come home with a new found sense of service.
