Today was a real eye opener for me. Seeing how little the people here have, but still they are content with what they have it shows me how selfish we really are. I know that I consider myself content with what I have, but it showed me today how mich I really have even though I think I have very little. God has shown me today that it is not what we have that brings contentment, but who we have living in us.
Just a reminder to Christina, make sure when you bring my truck Saturday night that it has a full tank of gas! One more thing, play some “Bride” for Logan. I miss you guys and will see you soon.
Hey Eric,
We are glad you guy’s are doing well. We are praying for you and the team every day. What a blessing that you guys could go there and spread the word! Keep working there brother.
I am so sorry you are missing all of the cold weather here! LOL
Love ya!
ps. We did have donuts in SS on Sunday..
eswink. Thank you for a reminder that we are to be content at all times – and especially we need to be reminded of how much we have materially here in the states. Its a hinderance in many ways. God bless you for sharing the gospel with these wonderful people. jane, friend of amy
You look very studious. Almost like a Roman statue. haha. I thought that on the last part of your first paragraph that you were going to say “it’s not what we have that brings contentment, but who we have living with us.” haha I was gonna say aaahh deed! I’ve been reading all the things that you all have been doing. It’s sounds so awsome. Keep up the good God’s work deed!
And P.S. Grab me one of those watermellons from the market on you way home. I’ll pay you when you get back. haha!
p.s.s
In all seriousness, you are right about the whole contentment thing. Even though Matt and I are living with you right now still trying to glue are feet down on the ground, so they won’t come off agian haha, I know to be content. It sure makes me feel spoiled when I start thinking about that fact that even though we don’t have our own house, we still have a house, with a roof. And clean clothes. And a car. And heat and a/c. And clean water, And food. And the list goes on and on. So agian. Your right Deed we’re blessed, spoiled, Americanized Children of God who sometimes have to be sent to another country, or just here stories from another country to realized how much we have and to praise God evey day for what we have. So keep up the good work and have fun. Love you Deed!
Love, Christina, Mattie, and Loggie Bear! haha
p.s.s.s By the way Logan gets his daily dose of Bride so he’s good. He has been kinda looking around for you on occasion. He gets on the computer with me and I show pics. of you and try to explain that your far, far away. I don’t think he gets though, especially since all he wants to do is grab the mouse or head bang. haha (That boy ain’t right!)
